Shipping policy
It's important to note that order processing times are separate from the shipping times you may see at checkout.Â
The information herein does not include potential delays due to a high volume of orders or postal service problems that are outside of our control. "We" are a small business consisting of 1 person that acts as owner/operator/designer/builder/packager/shipper/photographer/web developer... you get the idea. Please be considerate of that when working with "us".
All orders are processed within 2 to 3 business days after receiving your order confirmation email (excluding weekends and holidays). Items are usually then made to order, and can take between 4-7 days to create. Custom or personalized items may take longer, depending on the specific modifications needed. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped.Â
Domestic Shipping Rates and Estimates (Within US)
For simple flat rate shipping: We offer a $10 flat rate shipping for small items under 1lb, or $15 flat rate for bulkier items or items over 1 lb in The US. We do not currently ship outside The US. We also offer free shipping on orders over $40, and/or on select items. (Look for *Free Shipping! on product page)

How do I check the status of my order?
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.Â
If you haven’t received your order within 10 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at support@designbydek.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.
Shipping to P.O. boxes
Private shipping companies or carriers, such as UPS, FedEx and Amazon, are not able to deliver to (place mail in) a PO Box. Only the United States Postal Service® is permitted to deliver mail to (place mail in) a PO Box.
Refunds, returns, and exchanges

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at support@designbydek.com with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.
To start a return, you can contact us at returns@designbydek.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
**Note** If total refunds cause the original transaction amount to fall below the threshold for free shipping, then the usual shipping rate will be applied to the order.
